Passion Reigniting the Flame in Your Marriage
Welcome to our Marriage War and Peace blog for February!
February is the perfect month to dive into the intricacies of reigniting passion in your marriage. It's a time to explore the art of deepening intimacy and rediscovering the profound connection that lies at the heart of your relationship. Let's embark on a journey to find your Truth in the name of Love.
Intimacy for couples isn’t just about sex. I used to think that. Now I know that intimacy extends far beyond the bedroom.
True intimacy is an intricate dance between two souls, where communication, trust, and a shared journey of self-discovery intertwine. It's the art of sharing one's soul, laying bare dreams, fears, and aspirations in the sacred space of togetherness.
Intimacy, in its purest form, is a symphony of shared laughter, whispered secrets, and a mutual commitment to navigating the complexities of life together.
In this month’s article, we’ll focus on:

Our Nightly Ritual Under the Winter Sky
This winter, we’ve begun a nightly ritual that we both cherish. We round up our dogs, William and Mary, and go for a walk . The cold winter sky is the perfect backdrop for one of our favorite past times — stargazing.
Before heading out, we pick a card from Kyle Gray's Gateway of Light Activation Oracle deck and have fun searching the heavens for the star or constellation. We read about it and say the activation prayer included in the guidebook. Afterward, we talk about our hopes and dreams and areas where we'd like support from the other. When we get home, we hug our trees — we each have a special one — then come together and give a combined hug to another tree, symbolizing the deep spiritual connection that lies at the heart of our marriage.
This nightly ritual, which began spontaneously, has now become our favorite way to end our day. Under the winter sky, amidst the stars and shared prayer, we find solace, connection, and our Truth in the name of Love.
February is not just about Valentine's Day; it's about reigniting the flame in your marriage and renewing your connection.
Shahriar and I have been married for 24 years. Even after that long, we still find ways to deepen our intimacy.
